About Us

We are focused on giving charities the scale they’ve been missing.

We connect each charity with our network of volunteer designers to create digital ad campaigns that we deliver on ad space donated by web publishers. We are a network of volunteers, passionate about putting advertising technology to work in solving social problems. We are convinced that all causes making a difference deserve a voice, not just the biggest.

When great charities lack the support, budget, or expertise to grow with advertising, it’s no wonder charitable giving has not grown in over 40 years. We’ve proven that giving charities access to advertising yields profound results, and a networked platform multiplies that impact. But like any network, it can’t be one alone. The support of media companies and volunteers gives thousands of charities access to a massive digital audience they could never afford on their own. Be a partner in the mission to give voice to every great cause, and proving that ad tech’s impact can be beyond commercial and a force for positive social change.

“If there is some end in the things we do, which we desire for its own sake, clearly this must be the chief good.”

Aristotle

Our Name

Aristotle first used the phrase “chief good”, concluding that it is in the fulfilling of one’s own destiny which brings happiness. With each charity and champion of important causes we meet, we notice that each of them have their own passion that they’ve dedicated their lives to, their own... chief good. Our vision is to bring the story of each charity’s chief good to the masses. and voila.

Ali Mirian , Founder

In August 2005, after Hurricane Katrina devastated the southern U.S., Ali was working at a digital ad network when he got an email from a friend in New Orleans asking for help to get the word out on the relief effort underway. He quickly called up web publishers to donate ad space and was amazed at how much unused ad inventory there was. Before you now it, dozens of publishers and volunteer designers had contributed either their time or ad space, delivering pro bono ad campaigns to several charities. Finally in 2014, he founded Chiefgood Project, on the shoulders of over 40 volunteers.

Our volunteers are what make Chiefgood work. Industry professionals from digital media and advertising technology include volunteers from Google, Amazon, Facebook, and WPP all using their skills, experience and time to make the internet a channel for good.
